DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS

Most people assume that products are adequately tested and determined to be safe before they are sold on the open market. After all, there are so many regulations governing how a company must design, test, and produce a product before it makes it to the shelves of your local store.  But in more instances than you might believe, companies will bypass those safety standards in order to cut costs and increase their profit margins.  And as a result, products are sold to consumers every day that have some type of flaw: a design defect, manufacturing defects, or the company simply failed to warn consumers adequately of the danger the product imposes.

You have probably heard of product recalls.  When a product is discovered as defective, a company will issue a recall notice to consumers to return the defective product in exchange for their purchase money back.  Recalls are time-consuming and expensive, not every product that contains a defect will get recalled.  However, it takes many innocent people getting hurt, hiring attorneys and notifying the company of the defect before a manufacturer will do a recall.  Therefore, even when a product is finally recalled, some people have already suffered severe injury from the product.

The Bronson Firm APC is available and ready to take your case if you were injured by a defective product, including:

  • Household appliances

  • Child car seats and other safety products

  • Playground equipment

  • Medical device defects such as pacemakers, defibrillators, hip/joint replacement, and implants

  • Amusement park rides

  • Power tools, ladders, and other home-improvement equipment

If you were injured by a defective product, you may be able to recover from the manufacturer and distributor by asserting a warranty claim.

You could also be compensated for filing claims based on deceptive trade practices and other consumer protection laws.  That is a lot of law to keep in order and necessarily requires a lawyer to get you the best recovery allowed by law.  Contact The Bronson Firm APC today for a free consultation.
